Dr William Connor Primary School had their graduation ceremony on Tuesday July 7, 2026. In the ceremony Konris Maynard the Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 3 (West Basseterre) presented his annual awards to the two young students of the school.
Tizonielle Walters received the Konris Maynard West Basseterre All-round Student Scholarship Award and Divyne Delpesche was awarded with Konris Maynard Saltutatorian Award. The Minister of Information, Communication and Technology et. al congratulated the both recipients for their remarkable achievements. He said, “Heartfelt congratulations to both outstanding students on your hard work, dedication, and achievements”.
He further wished both the students well for their upcoming journey and hoped that in future they will make their family, school and community proud of them. He stated, “May you continue to strive for excellence and make your families, school and community proud and wishing you every success in the next chapter of your educational journey”.
The Minister Konris Maynard shared some glimpses of the award ceremony online in his official social media handle. The awards presented in the ceremony highlight the students’ performance in areas such as academic achievement, leadership and all-round excellence.
Additionally, during the ceremony Kemar Clarke also received the Azure Liburd Outstanding all Round Sports Man of the Year Award and the RAMS Superstars Village United Football Club Footballer of the Year award. Cricketer of the year title was won by the Cardell Crook and General Helpfulness award presented to Idumba Meshfern.
Moreover, Tizonielle Walters’ aunt Bernadette Merchant also shared the graduation ceremony images online and congratulated Walters and expressed she felt proud for her achievement in the school. She said, “Congratulations to my lovely niece Tizonielle Walters Valditorian, we are so proud of you”.
Notably, every year, Konris Maynard sponsors the Konris Maynard West Basseterre All-round Student Scholarship Award and Konris Maynard Saltutatorian Award in the graduation ceremony of the Dr William Connor Primary School.
