Gardenia Destang-Richardson, newly appointed Director of Health Institutions, and Nikisha Hazel, newly appointed Director of Institutional Nursing Services toured the JNF General Hospital. The officials from the Ministry of Health have shared some images from the official walkthrough of the hospital.
The officials have shared that the new directors will help improve healthcare delivery in the country. The new directors took the time to interact with the various members of the JNF general staff, doctors and nurses of the JNF General Hospital.
They will be responsible for leading the healthcare sector with their vast treasure of knowledge and experience. Their appointment at the position of directors has been made while keeping in mind their previous achievements and how they have helped the healthcare sector of the country through decades.
Both the new directors have decades worth of experience in Healthcare development and leadership. The Ministry has shared that as a part of their walkthrough, Nikisha Hazel and Gardenia Destang-Richardson both had the opportunity to see the institution with new leadership eyes.
The staff members also had the opportunity to welcome their new leaders and give them the opportunity to guide them. During the walkthrough, both the newly appointed directors were accompanied by Permanent Secretary Curtis Martin and members of the Ministry’s senior leadership team. The Ministry of Health has shared that the team continues to expect greatness from the new directors and development heads.
The Ministry has shared that the appointment of these new healthcare officers is expected to help in the growth, development and modernisation of the healthcare sector of the country.
The officials have shared they are focussed on building stronger institutions for a healthier nation. The administration has also made several other crucial advancements to improve healthcare delivery in the region including hiring of the nation’s first cardiologist to run a full department at the hospital.
