Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew attended the opening day of the two day forum, Nautical Kickstart St. Kitts and Nevis. The forum, organised by the Safe Harbour Marinas brought together stakeholders from the yachting sector.
Dr Drew has expressed his sincere delight in seeing the stakeholders growing the sector with meetings and stakeholder engagements. He said, “Our waters have always been one of our greatest blessings. Today, they are also becoming one of our greatest opportunities.”
The Prime Minister also added that they have been working towards their Sustainable Island State Agenda. In line with diversifying the island’s economy, the administration is deliberately positioning St. Kitts and Nevis to become a premier destination for maritime and yachting services.
According to the stakeholders, the superyacht industry entailed more elements than luxury vessels. The officials have shared that the growth of the organisation is about jobs, entrepreneurship, skills development, and new opportunities for the people.

The forum is being attended by global industry experts, marina operators, and active superyacht crew members. The attendants also include hospitality professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
