Antiua and Barbuda: The government of Antigua and Barbuda, led by Prime Minister Gaston Browne has been sworn into office. The government has also announced the portfolios of the 14 Ministers who will form part of the Cabinet of Prime Minister Browne.
After the snap elections which were conducted on April 30, 2026, PM Gaston Browne has been sworn into the office of the Prime Minister for the fourth consecutive term. In 2026, he returned to the office with a landslide majority of 15 Members of Parliament being elected from the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party.
These members of Parliament will also be supporting the Prime Minister as members of his Cabinet with their various portfolios.
Prime Minister Gaston Alphonso Brownie has retained the Ministry of Finance with himself as he gave the cabinet their respective Ministries to work with. PM Browne will also work as the Minister of Corporate Governance and Public Private Partnerships.
Next, Steadroy Cutie Olivero Benjamin has been appointed as the Attorney General of Antigua and Barbuda. He will handle the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety, Information and Labour in the newly formed government.
Everly Paul Chet Greene will handle the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Immigration. Henry Charles Fernandes will handle the Ministry for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment.
Next, Minister Melford Walter Nicholas has been entrusted with the Ministry of Information Communication Technologies, Utilities and Energy. Daryll Sylvester Matthew will handle the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology.
Maria Venessa Browne will handle the Ministry of Housing and Works.
Rawdon Nirobi Antonio Turner will be responsible for the Ministry of Social And Urban Transformation while Michael Nathaniel St. Patrick Freeland has been named Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment.
Anthony Shamari Smith Jr has been named Minister for Agriculture Land and the Blue Economy in the government led by PM Gaston Browne. Dwayne Kenny Mustafa George has been named Minister for Sports and the Creative Industries
Michael Moyga Joseph will handle the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs. Randy St. Clair Baltimore Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture Land and the Blue Economy.
Kiz Johnson has been appointed the Minister of State in the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation. Finally, Philmore Benjamin is to be nominated as the Deputy Speaker of The House of Representatives
