The representatives from the embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) visited the local farms on Nevis. Layer Chicken Industry Sustainable Development Project of the Taiwan Technical Mission in Basseterre visited the layer chicken farms in Nevis.
The team of the embassy were accompanied by the Project manager project, Tsai Cheng-Hsing and the veterinary team members Mr Cheng Li-Wu and Mr. Chang Hao-Hsiang.
On the side of the NIA, the team was accompanied by Ms. Fazeena Persaud, Extension Officer of the Nevis Island Department of Agriculture
During their visit to the local farms all over nevis , the team from the embassy met wiith the farm owners, They also shared the information regarding the practical poultry management. The organization has further clarified that the visit was aimed towards checking on chick health.
The officers shared practical knowledge about good poultry farming practices in the region with the farm owners. The embassy has extended their gratitude to the Director of the Nevis Island Department of Agriculture, Randy Ellior and Deputy Director, Floyd Liburd for making the visit to the farms possible for the people of the island nation,
The officers have shared that Fazeena Persaud, the Extension Officer of the Nevis Island Department of Agriculture also made the visit extremely smooth and easy.
The embassy has confirmed that they remain committed to supporting the development of sustainable agriculture practices in the region. The embassy of Taiwan in St kitts and Nevis has shared that they are dedicated to maintaining their support to the agriculture sector of St Kitts and Nevis. The Taiwan technical mission made these remarks on Friday in accordance with their ongoing support to the country’s agriculture sector.
The visit was most successful for the people of Nevis as they got the opportunity to interact with sector experts and learn more about the practices that can support them
