The Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew visited the CLICO Housing Project on August 27, 2026. During the visit, the Prime Minister also checked on the road resurfacing and patching work being carried out in the community.
The work is being carried out by the Public Works Department of the country. THe Prime Minister shared some images from the community on his social media .
He also highlighted that the CLICO Community is a growing and developing community. Several families are moving to the neighborhood and making it their home
As such, it is the responsibility of the government to make sure that the public infrastructure of the community can develop at the same pace. The Prime Minister has shared the progress report on the construction of the roads on their social media.
The roads at the CLICO housing development projects have been experiencing normal wear and tear over the course of the years. The ongoing work of road rehabilitation of the housing projects is aimed towards improving the condition of the roads
Upon completion, the roads will also improve the safety and connectivity for the community with the rest of the island.
The Prime Minister spoke to the workers who are engaged in the work of road rehabilitation and thanked them. The government, through the public works department has rehabilitated several roads across communities of St Kitts.
As such, Prime Minister Drew has thanked the Minister of Public Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Minister Konris Maynard. He said that the entire team at the Public Works Department has been doing good work.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that there is still more work to be done on improving the country’s road network. He promised that the team will continue to move community by community to address the country’s infrastructure needs.
