Minister Konris Maynard visited the housing development project in Buckleys to check on the progress made. He visited the development as a representative of constituency 3 and reported his progress on social media.
The Minister also shared several images from the ongoing construction on facebook with a message. According to Minister Maynard, the reports from the contractors and workers engaged on the construction site are positive.
Maynard said that he stopped by the ongoing construction project to “see how everything was going.” The Minister has been proactive in giving updates regarding the housing project which is in progress is Buckleys.
The housing project in Buckleys is one of the several projects which are being carried out in different parts of the country. The government of St Kitts and Nevis is calling this phenomenon a housing revolution.
They have made visible progress in delivering affordable housing solutions to the people across St Kitts and Nevis. The government is making deliberate efforts to provide housing solutions to working families, young professionals and first-time homeowners.
The housing revolution is also delivering jobs to locals across the island as the workforce engaged in the construction of the homes primarily consists of locals. The creation of jobs is helping stimulate economic activity in the country.
Minister Konris Maynard has thanked the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Dr Geoffrey Hanley for expanding access to affordable home ownership in the country.
According to the Minister of Housing et al, the government has delivered over 900 housing solutions to families across the island. In addition to buckleys, housing projects and construction are ongoing in communities like the Ottley’s, Sandy Point, and Taylor’s Community.
The people of the island have also expressed their appreciation for the housing revolution which has delivered affordable homes to families and individuals across the island.
