The St Kitts and Nevis Medicinal Cannabis Authority has announced the opening of registrations for the Traditional Cultivator Programme. The programme is scheduled to take place for three days starting Wednesday August 12 to Friday 14, 2026.
The venue for the programme has not been decided yet. It will be shared before the official start of the programme. The information regarding the start of registration was shared by the authority online. In the announcement they shared that they are all set to welcome the registration from the individuals across the federation.
The organization said, “ The St. Kitts & Nevis Medicinal Cannabis Authority (SKNMCA) is officially accepting registration for the Traditional Cultivator Programme”. In the announcement SKNMCA specifically mentioned that they are inviting experienced cultivators for the programme.
For the programme participants must be a resident & citizen of St. Kitts & Nevis. Additionally, the interested individual must have 10 years of experience in cannabis cultivation and not have a criminal record.
The SKNMCA further explained that this year’s programme is especially designed in a way that the attendees get the opportunity of first hand experiences in the medicinal cannabis industry. The SKNMCA also mentioned that in the programmes individuals will gain knowledge and learn practical skills in which they got to know about how to cultivate cannabis under the government rules and regulations.
In the Traditional Cultivator Programme attendees will experience following things:
- Hands-on cultivation training
- Good Agricultural & Collection Practices (GACP)
- Seed-to-sale tracking and compliance knowledge
- Harvesting, curing and post-harvest techniques
- Expert instruction from industry professionals
- Certificate of Participation
- A chance to jump-start your career in the medicinal cannabis industry
Additionally, in the programmes, SKNMCA will distribute the giveaways to every participating individual. But this giveaway ceremony is not confirmed as it will depend on the stock availability within the authority and will be done under legal requirements.
Notably, interested individuals can apply for the program by visiting the SKNMCA office in person or can use an online link which was shared by the SKNMCA on their official social media handle. The fees for the registration is EC $200.
