St Kitts and Nevis: The Famous Luxury resort brand, Ritz Carlton announced a new resort development in St Kitts to start in 2024 on Thursday. The new development will be located in the South East Peninsular area of St Kitts and will be recognized as ‘The Liamuiga Resort’.
As per the information, this is the second most resort development announced in St Kitts and Nevis in the last two months of 2024. The first development on the island was of the INDIGO Resort broke ground on its new resort at Potato Bay, Frigate Bay, St Kitts in January 2024.
While announcing the development, the Company stated, “We are delighted to be working with the government of St Christopher and Nevis. Ritz-Carlton is aggressively expanding in the Caribbean and we are excited to bring the legendary Ritz-Carlton brand to this exclusive destination.”
They also shared that this collaboration will prove to be a significant increase in the demand for luxury travel offerings on the island. It will also lead to the rapid growth of the Tourism sector of the nation.
Further, the Ritz Carlton brand has also revealed its plans to introduce 10 villas and 15 condominiums for visitors to offer them premium and world-class sustainable comfort.
Notably, The Liamuiga resort is part of the renowned Ritz-Carlton brand and is managed by The Liamuiga Corporation. The Ritz Carlton brand is presently directed by Lida Holladay, who is also the Grand Brand leader for it.
Previously, in 2018, the Ministry of Tourism and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority signed a management agreement with The Liamuiga Corporation to open a Ritz-Carlton Resort on St. Kitts in 2021.
As per the sources, this well-known and highly regarded brand will complement existing hotel products and add to the mix of accommodations. It will also offer as well as continue to target the discerning, experiential traveler.
The Development on the island is also anticipated to boost tourism and create numerous job opportunities during its development and once the hotel and resort are operational, providing employment for the nation’s citizens and benefitting the economy.
