Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew tied the knot with the Diplomat, Attorney Diani Prince of St Vincent and the Grenadines, on Saturday. The wedding took place on the beautiful CARICOM sister island of Barbados and was attended by a few close family members from both families.
In an extensive social media post on Saturday, PM Drew shared an image of his wedding day and officially introduced his wife, Diani Prince-Drew, to the nation.
With extreme delight and gratitude, he informed, “Greetings to all citizens and residents; it is with a grateful heart that I inform you of my marriage to my wife, Mrs. Diani Prince-Drew.”
According to the information, the wedding took place in the holy presence of God, and the ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. David Yarde of the Anglican Church.
He shared that the wedding was attended by his mother, his son, his sisters, and his wife’s close family members.
Further, PM Drew also asked the communities on social media to send their love and warm wishes at the beginning of this new journey.
“I, therefore, officially introduce you to Mrs. Diani Prince-Drew. We ask for your prayers and support as we embark on our new life together,” he noted.
Notably, the Diplomat and Attorney, Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew, hails from a distinguished background as the daughter of St Vincent and the Grenadines’ Minister of Health, Wellness, and the Environment, St Clair Jimmy Prince, brings with her a wealth of experience as an Attorney-at-Law and Diplomat.
The union between the Prime Minister, a trained medical doctor who assumed office on August 6, 2022, and the accomplished diplomat underscores a merging of diverse backgrounds and expertise.
As they enter this new chapter, they symbolise hope and unity for their nations and the wider Caribbean region.
