Wayne R Phillip hosted the SKELEC Power Soca Monarch event at Warner Park Cricket Stadium on the 21st of December, where 12 Soca Artists were sharing 1 stage.
Wayne R Phillip’s biography:
He’s Popularly known as Mr Wayne P or Piece A Man. It is a household name in the federation of St Kitts and Nevis.
Wayne is a talented Maintenance Technician from the beautiful Stkitts and Nevis who now resides in Toronto, Canada.
Wayne was pulled towards entertainment at an early age in his community of Sandy Point, promoting one of the biggest Sunday’s beach lime with his friends, “Bashment”, at Pump Bay Fig Tree.
Wayne was called into hosting events very early, hosting/mc the first ever Soca Monarch Competition in St. Kitts for Carnival back in 2001.
Wayne, or Piece a Man as he was called back, then turned into one of the most dynamic and popular host/mc hype men in the federation of St Kitts and Nevis, hosting most of the well-known events such as Music Festival, Latin Fes, White Sands, Hero Cpl t20, Black San bang a long and much more.
Even though he lives in Toronto, Wayne makes his contribution every year to the art form during Sugar Mas with his groovy and powerful soca releases that captivate the listening community.
Wayne P is no stranger to the Soca Monarch stage, having been a finalist on more than one occasion back then.
