The National Land Sales Agency of St Kitts and Nevis, formerly known as the Privatization and Commercialization Unit, has appointed its new head Kevin Jeffers. The government of St Kitts and Nevis established the National Land Sales Agency in 2009. Under the former SKNLP-led government headed by Dr Denzil Douglas, the institution served as a focal point for residential land distribution in St Kitts.
Following his appointment as the head of the National Land Sales Agency, Kevin Jeffers noted that he wanted to rebrand the Agency. He intends to use the 21st Century technological advancements. These include:
- The introduction of a web application process,
- Establishing a website for the Agency
- Implementing strategic marketing platforms
These initiatives aim to create national awareness regarding the National Land Sales Agency. The appointment of the new head of the Agency is expected to bring about several new initiatives for the Agency. Jeffers remains highly optimistic about starting work in his new capacity
Meanwhile, Kevin Jeffers has served in the government of St Kitts and Nevis for twenty-three years. He has mainly worked in the ministry of agriculture. Due to serving in various capacities in the Ministry of Agriculture, he has acquired extensive experience in land management. Meanwhile, Kevin Jeffers is highly knowledgeable and experienced in his field. Jeffers has a BSc in Marketing from Ashworth University. Additionally, he is an Executive Diploma holder in Farm Administration from the United World College.
The National Land Sales Agency, which was previously known as the Privatization and Commercialization Unit, can be located on the third-floor of the E St John Payne Annex. The building stands on the corner of Liverpool Row and Church Street. It is situated at the back of the Robert L. Bradshaw building. The building also houses the St Christopher and Nevis Social Security Board.
