Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, extended his congratulations to the six University of the West Indies alumni who graduated from the Norman Manley Law School on October 1, 2022.
Kiwanna Browne, Shantrice Dorset, Kamau Grant, Azuree Liburd, HasaniMc Donald and Siobhan Phipps are now holders of a Legal Education Certificate, which allows their admission to practice at the bar of any of the nations in which the Council of Legal Education has jurisdiction.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, took to his official Facebook page to congratulate the students. He wrote:
“Seeing our young men and women pursuing their purpose with passion and devotion brings me great pleasure. Lawyers are critical in the development and evolution of our Federation, and I look forward to seeing you all services in your capacity.”
Dr Terrance Drew further added, “Among the graduates were six (6) young men and women from St. Kitts and Nevis, who all graduated with honours: Shantrice Dorset LLB (Hons) LEC, Siobhan Phipps LLB (Hons) LEC, Azuree Liburd LLB (Hons) LEC, Kiwanna Browne LLB (Hons) LEC, Kamau Grant LLB (Hons) LEC, and Hasani McDonald LLB (Hons) LEC.”
Furthermore, Azuree Liburd is the recipient of The William Roper Memorial Prize and The Hugh Hart Prize.
Kamau Grant received several prizes for his outstanding performance. He made the Principal Roll of Honour which is given to persons who have achieved a minimum of 6 A’s over two years.
Additionally, He was awarded the Keith Standard Sobion Memorial Prize, The Sir Colin MacGregor Memorial Prize, The Raphael Codlin Memorial Prize, Kelsick, Wilkin & Ferdinand Prize, The Michael Nunes Memorial Prize, The KC Burke Memorial Prize, The Williams McKoy & Palmer Prize, The Hugh Hart Prize, and The Courtney Coye LLP Prize.
Hasani McDonald received the Most Outstanding Year II Student, The Samuda and Johnson Prize, The Raphael Codlin Memorial Prize, and The Grant Stewart Phillip & Co Prize.
Prime Minister Terrance Drew gave them best wishes on their continued journey.
