St Kitts and Nevis recorded two new imported cases of COVID-19 and the total number, so cases is now 22.
Out of the total 22 cases, nineteen have recovered, and the Federation now has three active cases since the borders of the country re-opened on October 31.
CMO of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Hazel Laws, announced this on November 24 at the National Emergency Operations Centre COVID-19 Press Briefing.
These new cases are of two returning nationals who came to St Kitts and Nevis on Saturday, November 21.
Dr Laws said that the two returning nationals are in quarantine since they arrived in the country.
She added that the established protocols were adhered to, and these protocols were followed along the corridor of containment between their arrival into St Kitts and Nevis at RLB International Airport and the hotel where they are staying.
Dr Laws noted that contact tracing is underway.
Dr Laws said that the contact tracing system in St Kitts and Nevis is powerful.
The CMO stated that all passengers, who came to the Federation on the same flight as the two new confirmed cases, are also in quarantine.
