The Health Promotion Unit of Nevis has officially released an Antenatal Clinic schedule for all mothers and pregnant women to access the best health treatment from their nearest health centres this month.
As per the information, this community nursing campaign will help the women make their motherhood journey a joy for themselves and their families.
While announcing the campaign, the Health Promotion Unit of Nevis encouraged the mothers to take the health treatments and added, “Are You Pregnant?
We are here to make motherhood a joy for you and your family.
Visit your nearest health centre to access care for you and your baby before and after birth.”
It will also enable them to access the best care for their babies before and after birth.
Through these Continental Clinics, the maternity section of the community will receive all the needed medical support and care for themselves and their little ones.
This clinic will serve them by undertaking various modes of treatment and services. These include:
- Check the health of the mother and their baby.
- Give them helpful information
- to help them to have a healthy pregnancy, including advice about healthy eating and exercise.
As per the schedule, the Antenatal Clinic will be open for the community visit from 8 AM to 11 AM and will be organised at several communities on varied dates.
Here’s the Schedule for the Antinental Clinic in February 2024 in Nevis:
- Charlestown- Monday 5th and 19th
- Brown Hill- Friday 9th and 23rd
- Gingerland- Monday 12th and 26th
- Butlers- Wednesday 7th and 21st
- Combermere- Wednesday 14th and 28th
- Cotton Ground- Tuesday 6th and 20th
Notably, the Nevis Health Promotion Unit is a support service in the Ministry of Health. Its primary function is to promote healthy living, wellness and lifestyles.
The Health Unit also facilitates communities through educational support to all health and medical programme activities, including assessing communities for health education activities, planning, implementing and evaluating interventions, and acting as resource persons for health and communicating health education needs, concerns, and resources.
The Unit also collects, collates, analyses and disseminates all health data.
