The Ministry of Sustainable development of St Kitts and Nevis has organized the Land Matters Fair for the people of St Kitts and Nevis. The “Fair” will be scheduled for two days, starting Thursday, February 9 and Friday, February 10, 2023. The initiative organized by the Ministry of sustainable development is a part of their public outreach programme.
During the event, the government of St Kitts and Nevis invited the people to address their land-related issues. People from across the federation are invited to get a resolution of their land-related questions and concerns through engagement with the workers of the Ministry. To further facilitate the resolution of land-related issues, the Ministry has also asked the people to come to the Land Matter fair with their 2022 land documents if the issue at hand deems it necessary.
Meanwhile, the information shared by the state-owned information service, SKNIS and the minister of Sustainable Development, Dr Joyelle Clarke, details that the agencies and workers associated with the Ministry of Sustainable development will engage the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis will engage in the issue resolution process for two days from 9:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
During the Land Matters Fair, the Following agencies will remain on site for the interaction:
- NHC
- Treasury
- Lands & Survey
- Physical Planning
- Urban Planning
- Development Control & Planning Board
- Sustainable Land Management Unit
The Ministry has specified the Ministry of Sustainable Development parking lot, Bladens Commercial Development, as the Land Matters Fair venue. Here the agencies mentioned above and the workers of the Ministry of sustainable development will engage with the people attending the outreach programme.
During the two-day Land Matters Fair, the people will get the chance to solve their land letter issues, apply for new land, and exchange the ground that an applicant has already been allotted.
The initiative taken by the government of St Kitts and Nevis in partnership with the Ministry of Sustainable development will help landowners find in St Kitts, and Nevis find easy access to the resolution of their land-related issues and problems.
