The Premier of Nevis and Leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM), Mark Brantley, visited the Alexandra Hospital in Nevis to check on the progress made in the construction and developments in the hospital.
The medical institution recently received a new, state-of-the-art Phillips 128-slice CT-Scan Machine. Additionally, construction work is ongoing to add a new wing in the hospital.
The Premier of Nevis shared updates from his visit on his social media account. This gesture of the Premier of Nevis is keeping up with his commitment towards open and transparent governance.
The Premier Mark Brantley first went to check on the development of the CT Scan Machine and expressed his excitement upon witnessing that the CT Scan Machine has been commissioned and is in use.
Today I visited the Alexandra Hospital to see the brand new Phillips 128 slice CT-Scan, which has now been commissioned, and I was so happy to learn that several patients have already used the service. The technicians have completed training our local staff at our radiology department, and we are now open for business.
I thank God for this new dawn in healthcare in Nevis and thank the Drahi Foundation for its incredible generosity again.
He expressed gratitude to the foundation that donated the medical equipment for their incredible generosity. Healthcare is an essential mandate of the CCM Government that has served as the administrator of Nevis Island.

Under the same, Premier Mark Brantley also shared an update regarding the acquisition of two new ambulances for the “better service of the people of Nevis. Additionally, the Premier went on to check the progress of the construction work on the Alexandra Hospital premises.
He shared an image featuring the two brand new ambulances acquired during the Covid pandemic’s height better to serve the people of Nevis. The government also constructed a garage to house them.
Premier Mark Brantley revealed that this was the first time Nevis ever got two new ambulances simultaneously. Praise be to God.
Talking about the ongoing construction work in the hospital, Mark Brantley revealed that he visited the ongoing construction work on the Alexandra Hospital this morning.
He informed the people that “we are building a new kitchen to serve the entire compound and a new hospital facility. According to the Premier, this is an investment for the next 40 years.
