Puerto Rican officers still work with cruise lines when Royal Caribbean International canceled dozens of voyages to the island for the 2020-2021 season.
According to a magazine, Governor Wanda Vazquez is working with the Port Authority and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) to maintain an open dialogue with cruise lines after reports surfaced that Royal Caribbean force out because of a conflict over the privatization of docks in the San Juan.
Vazquez refused reports that officials from Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line asked the authorities to prevent dock privatization in order that they would be ready to invest within the facilities and conduct their own repairs.
