Trinidadian cricketer and all-rounder Dwayne Bravo recently joined an exclusive club when he played his 100th Caribbean Premier League match on Sunday, August 27, 2023, in St Kitts and Nevis.
The 100th game of the cricketer’s illustrious career turned out to be one between the Trinbago Knight Riders, the team that Bravo currently plays for and the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, which is another one of he cricketer’s former association.
In his 100th match of the Caribbean Premier League, which runs the tenth season in 2023, Dwayne Bravo assisted his team, the Trinbago Knight Riders, in securing a significant victory over the host team, the Patriots.
Keiron Pollard (105), Andre Fletcher (104) and Johnson Charles (101) are the only other players with 100+ CPL appearances. Bravo is the newst addition to the club. Bravo has secured his legacy as a T20 great and a CPL icon in the 10 years of the CPL.
So far in his 100 matches, the all-rounder is the leading . wicket-taker in CPL history, having taken 128 wickets with best figures of 5/23 and an economy of 8.71, which is very good considering that he’s bowled a lot of his overs during the last five overs of the innings – a notoriously hard time to bowl for most bowlers.
Trinidadian Cricketer Dwayne Bravo has also scored 1147 runs at an average of 21.64 with a strike rate of 131.53 and a high score of 67.
Cricketer Dwayne Bravo has also won 5 CPL titles – the most by any player. Four of those have come with the Trinidad and Tobago franchise (3 as Knight Riders, 1 as Red Steel) while the other came when he captained the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots to CPL glory in 2021.
Congratulations to Sir Champion on bringing up his century of matches in the Caribbean Premier League!
