Barbados records 167 new COVID-19 cases on island

Trinidad and Tobago reports 78 COVID-19 cases in 24 hrs. According to the the COVID-19 updation 5 deaths have been reported. The country experiencing the constant positivity rate of COVID-19 cases on island.

The updation report stated that till present the medical teams have been tested 325,830 people in public and private hospitals and facilities. Out of the total test the island had reported 47,208 positive cases, 42,000 COVID-19 cases have been recovered.

The total number of positive patients in Trinidad and Tobago had reached 3,827.

There are total 279 patients in the hospitals of Trinidad and Tobago. 1,381 people have died due to the COVID-19 on the island.

5,45,725 people have been partially vaccinated with one dose of vaccine. The vaccinated persons, on island have got 119,940 AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine, 372,113 got Sino pharm vaccine and 53,672 doses of Pfizer, 9,780 Johnson & Johnson. 

443,563 people have been fully vaccinated on the island.

Public facilities discharged total 24 people on island, and 132 are recovered community cases. Recovered community cases are categorized in them those who have been infected by COVID-19 virus, and they were in self-isolation, and after reaching the discharge, criteria had been released from self-isolation.

5 additional death have also been reported on Saturday. From the 5 dead,1 were elderly male,1 elderly female and 2 middle-aged male, 1 middle-aged female, 0 young adult male, 1 young adult.

The Ministry remains to prioritize its health care workers who continue a high-risk high-exposure society for catching the COVID-19 virus. To this end, health care workers are once again been prioritized to take another World Health Organization (WHO) recommended COVID-19 vaccine to guard their patients, their families and themselves.

Trinidad and Tobago would be receiving the shipment of 82,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. This shipment is coming from Canada. Canadian Minister of International Development Karina Gould gave this updation on the vaccine doses.
