After coming in contact with the expected COVID-19 positive person, the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago quarantined himself according to the protocols of COVID-19 on the island. However, he was tested COVID-19 negative after getting tested for COVID-19.
According to the statements by the office of the Prime Minister, the officials said that PM Rowley was the primary contact of the patient that was reported COVID-19 positive after testing. The officials added that to know a further status, PM would be tested again this week for COVID-19.
In past months PM Rowley had been affected by the COVID-19 virus, after which he isolated himself for a longer period. This time PM Rowley is immunized with the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine.
It has become an alarming situation as the PM came in contact with the COVID-19 positive patient.
As after the public came to know about PM being quarantined, many of them are now worried for their well being. A person named Damian R. Scott, on his social media wrote that the current situation is like a reminder for them to remain vigilant and obey the protocols. Vaccination does not grant the person complete immunity, while clarifying his statement, he gave the example that just as a bulletproof vest does not make the entire body bulletproof.
At last, wishing PM Rowley for his better health, he said, “May you enjoy the rest and relaxation that the isolation brings, Dr Rowley. And may you pass this period without contracting the virus.”
Many wishes have been flooding the social media to wish good health to PM Rowley from across the country. A user named Margaret Alexander wrote, “Almighty God, we are asking that you take care of our strong prime minister touch him with your powerful hands and let our prayers reach out to him and to his family give them you and the strength oh lord guide him every step of the way and to his colleagues give them the strength also continue Blessing him with doing his Duties Amen.”
