The St Kitts Department of Tourism has started the promotion of the Sugar Mas 54. The annual carnival event which is expected to start around Mid-December is one of the most anticipated event in the country.
The tourism stakeholders have shared that the event has been one of the most important event for the culture and tradition of the country. For over half a century, the Carnival has served as an opportunity to celebrate the history of the people.
The St. Kitts Tourism Authority proudly launched its first regional activation in Antigua as a part of the closing ceremony for the Antigua Carnival. The officials have shared that the members of the tourism authority were leading the promotional event.
The Drunisha Hanley, Caribbean Sales and Events Officer, and Jason Amory, Marketing Associate were present at the closing of the Antigua Carnival. The 54th edition of the event will be hosted from December 12 and conclude on January 2.
The Tourism Authority shared that the Carnival will feature some of the most popular events including the Pageant, Steel Pan, Kaiso and more. The officials have shared that the regional activation is part of the new marketing strategy of the event.
They shared that the regional activation will help in making sure that the people from across the region can participate in the event. The organisation has shared that they have been spreading the word on the event more than four months to go.
The officials have shared that the St Kitts and Nevis has been working diligently to increase their footprint across the region. The activation event was marked by music, dance and celebration in colors and collaboration
The St Kitts and National Carnival Committee has previously led a delegation to Anguilla to spread the word on the carnival. During the event, the people will be united in celebration and honoring the legacy of the island.
