- Seven athletes from across St Kitts and Nevis will be representing the country at the Goodwill Swimming Championships 2026. The championship is a three day event which is scheduled to take place from Friday August 14 to Sunday 16, 2026.
This year the championship is marking its 30th edition and Trinindad and Tobago is hosting the championship at the National Aquatic Centre, Balmain, in Couva. The names of the athletes were announced by the St. Kitts-Nevis Aquatic Federation on Sunday.
The federation mentioned that the athletes from the federation will represent the SKNAF for the first time. The Federation said, “For the first time ever, the St. Kitts & Nevis Aquatics Federation (SKNAF) will be represented at the Goodwill Swimming Championships”.
Additionally, the federation also shared the update of the team departure for the 30th Goodwill Swimming championship. They stated, “Our National Swim Team is heading to Trinidad & Tobago for the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships taking place 14-16 August 2026 at the National Aquatics Centre in Couva”.
The team will participate in three categories in the tournament. The names of athletes are:
Boys 9-10
Gaj Leonce
Rhaejaan Jacobs
Boys 11-12
Valentino Esposito
Teadrian Tross
Saulo Sahely
Greyson Burrell
Girls 15-17
Jazzelle Connor
The team will be led by the Head Coach & Team Manager Kyle McEachnie and accompanied by Annelise Leibbrandt, Assistant Coach & Chaperone.
Additionally, the SKNAF also shared that athlete Greyson Burrell is selected for the national team but will not participate in any event due to unforeseen circumstances. The federation mentioned that they felt proud of Burrell on his selection in the national team. The SKNAF said, “Greyson Burrell was selected to the National Team but will unfortunately be unable to compete due to unforeseen circumstances”.
Notably, last year the championship was held at the Barbados Aquatic Centre in Wildey, Bridgetown, Barbados from August 15 to 17, 2025.
