Five Brand New Ambulances have arrived on St Kitts and Nevis on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The ambulances have been long awaited by the people due to a serious shortage left by the previous administration.
The current Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Dr Terrance Drew announced this welcome development during the National Assembly Sitting. He has shared that the arrival of the ambulances will help improve the services and offerings of the health sector of St Kitts and Nevis.
The Ambulances were delivered at the at the cargo facility in Bird Rock after months of delays from international delivery issues. The Prime Minister has been working diligently to ensure that the members of the healthcare sector have access to the best in line facilities.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the procurement of five brand new ambulances is part of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party Administration’s mandate to ensure good healthcare services. The leaders have shared that the members of the community have also lauded the administration for this work.
The people of the island highlighted that it is important for the people of the island to have access to healthcare infrastructure. Dr Terrance Drew had started the process for the procurement of the ambulances for several months.
Before the ambulances were received in St Kitts and Nevis, the Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew shared regular updates on where the procurement of the vehicles has reached. They also secured the line of supply for the Ambulances.
To bridge the supply gap that existed in the country due to the less-than-ideal condition of the vehicles which were present in the country prior to Dr Terrance Drew taking the office of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister has shared that they will continue to make sure that the people of the country get access to better healthcare.
