On Sunday, two members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force got injured in a motor vehicle crash in St James.
Reports say that a team of police officers was in the Dumfries area of the parish and they were investigating a robbery when the incident occurred.
Video footage of the incident showed the three policemen standing near their service van when an apparently out of control car, came towards them.
An officer, who saw the approaching vehicle, managed to scurry for safety before the car slammed into the police service van, and injured the other two officers.
Reports also say that the officers were taken to hospital for treatment.
The status of the driver whose vehicle ran off the road is still not clear.
