Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: The Nevis Water Department has shared the new timings for water supply for residents to note to combat shortages. The department has implemented a water management schedule for the residents of distinct locations from Wednesday.
The residents are being allocated the water services only from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am daily. The surrounding areas may also be affected due to the new schedule of water supply and they may also experience low water pressure.
Following are the areas, which are affected by the water ration:

The Nevis Water Department has also extended their apology for the inconvenience that has been caused due to water supply to all the consumers. The department further encouraged the people to practice all water conservation measures to meet their needs during the hours of interruption.
Noting this, they can use recycled water for lawns and be aware and cautioned while using water at their homes for taking baths, washing dishes, clothes, vehicle and brushing teeth.
They have also urged the residents of Nevis that there are no leaks. The department asked the consumers to reach out them to get the leaks repaired.

The authorities are working dedicatedly and are committed to increase the water production capacity to enable a full-time supply even during the annual dry season. Additionally, the people of the twin-island Federation are expected to remain vigilant while using water and try to avoid the water wastages.
