Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew paid a visit to St Kitts and Joseph N France General Hospital on December 20, 2023, with the aim of celebrating Christmas and expressing gratitude to the doctors and nurses for their hardworking services to the citizens, residents and visitors.

- Surgical.
- Medical wards.
Dr Terrance Drew celebrated his Christmas visit by saluting the completion of a public-private partnership project involving the Prime Minister’s Office and Victor Williams of Williams Architectural, which involved the installation of air conditioning units in the hospital’s medical and surgical wards.
Prime Minister Drew expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, noting his personal experience of the hot conditions in hospital wards during his training as a doctor.
PM Drew underlined that heat has been an ongoing issue in the medical ward for a long time, causing discomfort for patients with respiratory, cardiac, and neurological problems.
The Health Minister advised patients to bring fans, but these often circulated warm air. Williams Architectural, through Victor Williams, has partnered with the Government of St Kitts and Nevis to improve the medical and surgical wards by providing AC units, as increased humidity can worsen medical conditions.
Victor Williams expressed joy with the project’s success. Williams encouraged other private sector entities to consider partnering with the public sector on projects that benefit the St Kitts and Nevis region, which includes the installation of an AC unit at the hospital.
