St Kitts and Nevis: Former Unity Tourism Minister Lindsay Grant in St Kitts and Nevis was fined $1,500 or given a month in Jail after admitting to assaulting a law enforcement officer.

It goes back to January 8, 2022, at the Last Round Bar in Bird Rock Kitts, when former tourism minister Lindsay Grant was caught on camera having a tense standoff with law enforcement at the Last Round Bar in Bird Rock.
The widely circulated video sparked much debate locally, and Grant came under heavy criticism from political opponents and the public.
On March 8, 2022, Grant was initially charged with felony battery on a police officer while on duty and assault while on duty and was scheduled to appear in court for final sentencing on November 21, 2023.
According to information received by the police in the final decision, the former Unity tourism minister was convicted and fined one thousand and five hundred dollars ($1,500) ECD for each amount immediately paid or face one (1) month in prison.
To avoid conviction, Grant was allowed to pay a court-ordered fine. Grant chose to pay the fine and was released. Senior counsel Henry Browne, counsel for Kingand, and Marissa Hobson-Newman, deputy attorney general, represented Grant. Greates Gordon-Hazel represented the accused in this Prosecution.
Additional information: Lindsay Grant was previously found on the wrong side of the law. In 2010, he was involved in a bribery scandal. Lindsay Grant confessed that he was involved in a US $1.7 million bribery deal with an unknown foreign investor, who he could only describe as a white business executive representing some large company with a British accent called Graham Wells. He needed help with party campaign financing in return for selling land to a supposed investor below market value.
