The annual St. Kitts and Nevis Police week has been opened on Saturday by prime minister Dr. Timothy Harris..
At a gathering of police officers, their families and well-wishers from the community, the prime minister acknowledged the hard work and tireless efforts the police force make.
“Say to the person next to you that you do appreciate the good things are doing,” the prime minister said to attendees.
This year in St. Kitts and Nevis, the Ministry of National Security has enforced intensified operations, with more search warrants being executed, more vehicle check points, and an increase in abandoned property searches.
The police awards ceremony recognises officers who have served in good standing in the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for at least 18 years.
