Elex Morris of Temple Alley was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply. He was granted bail in the sum of EC$10,000 for his appearance on November 6 at the District A Magistrate’s Court.

Edmondson Browne of Upper Monkey Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply. He was granted bail in the sum of EC$5,000 for his appearance at the District A Magistrate’s Court on November 6.

Orlando Browne of Jessup’s Village who was arrested for the offence of possession of cannabis, was granted bail in the sum of EC$5,000 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on September 5.

Keithroy Freeman of St. Paul’s Village who was charged for possession of firearm and ammunitions and possession of firearm with intent to endanger life. He was granted bail in the sum of EC$150,000 for his appearance at the District B Magistrate’s Court on October 2.

Darren Caines of St. Paul’s Village who was charged for possession of firearm and ammunitions and possession of firearm with intent to endanger life. He was granted bail in the sum of EC$150,000 for his appearance at the District B Magistrate’s Court on October 2. His travel document was also surrendered.

Alston Douglas of St. Paul’s Village who was charged for possession of firearm and ammunitions and possession of firearm with intent to endanger life. He was granted bail in the sum of EC$150,000 for his appearance at the District B Magistrate’s Court October 2. His travel document was also surrendered.

In matters at the District A Magistrate’s Court presided over by His Honour Mr. Benjamin and reported the following conviction:

Alphonso Archibald of St. Paul’s Village who was charged for Careless driving which occurred on June 4 2016 at New Road, pleaded guilty and was fined EC$400 to be paid in two months or if in default serve one month imprisonment .

In matters at the District B Magistrate’s Court presided over by Her Honour Mrs. Karen Hector the following convictions were reported:

Pearl Collins of Palmetto Point who was charged for insulting language and battery was fined EC$300 on each charge to be paid by September 30, or if in default 30 days in imprisonment.

Valentine Paris of Phillip’s Village who was charged for driving without license and insurance was a fined $300.00 ECD on each charge to be paid by 15th September 2017 or if in default 30 days’ imprisonment.

Eugene Seeraj of Molyneaux who was charged for driving without due care and attention was fined EC$500 to be paid by September 15 or if in default 30 days’ imprisonment.

Ishan Gumbs of St. Paul’s Village who was charged for possession of cannabis was fined EC$1,500 to be paid by September 30 or if in default 30 days’ imprisonment.

Rohan Patrick of Tabernacle Village who was charged for possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply, was sentenced to serve two months’ imprisonment at hard labour.

In matters at the District C Magistrate’s Court presided over by Her Honour Ms. Yasmine Clarke the following convictions were reported:

Ellison Smithen of Stoney Grove was convicted and fined EC$800 to be paid in one week or one  month imprisonment for the offence of battery, if the sum is paid on time no conviction will be recorded.

Police have responded to numerous hose breaking and larceny issues in the areas of Buck’s Hill, Tuckett Street, Bourke’s Estate, Lodge, Fortlands and New Ponds Site.

Almost 700 marijuana plants were discovered and seized by patrol officers in the following areas: Romney Ground Sandy Point, Pond Hill and Godwin Ghaut.
