The Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour Hotel had its official opening on November 1.

St. Kitts and Nevis is nowhere to the first of the brand’s hotels in the Caribbean.

The luxury 126-room resort is comprised of three restaurants, indoor and outdoor event spaces, two pools and many other amenities.

An estimated 300 people from the Federation have taken up permanent jobs at the resort, confirmed earlier this year by Mr. Mohammed Asaria, the Vice Chairman of Range Developments, during a tour of the facility.

Mr. Asaria said that during the construction phase close to 1000 jobs were created, having a positive impact on the Federation’s economy.

“This particular site has provided a livelihood for over 800 plus persons residing in St. Kitts and Nevis and we are happy for this kind of economic activity and the multiplier effect of this throughout the economy,” said Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris.
