Two men have been arrested formally charged for the murder of Kishorne Edwards of Upper Cayon.

This development comes two months after the murder was committed.

Jerod Stapleton and Ellister Thomas of Lodge were finally arrested and charged after St. Kitts and Nevis police investigated the case, utilising forensic capabilities they had at their disposal.

The murder, committed on July 4 at Ottley’s Village, was the 17th this year in St. Kitts and Nevis, with only 8 being solved so far.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Andre Mitchell has commended the efforts of investigators on this case and encouraged the public to continue with assisting the police in St. Kitts and Nevis to solve crimes.

Mr. Hilroy Brandy, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, expressed his sympathy with the family members of the victim for their loss.

He said that the St. Kitts and Nevis police are working tirelessly to ensure a safe place for everyone to live, work and do business.
